There's no accounting for taste

We splurged and bought a new vacuum cleaner yesterday. A shnazzy hunter green
Eureka Whirlwind "bagless" model....when we asked Jolee in the store if we
should get it, she cried, "No, I want a RED one!!!" Good thing we didn't
let her pick out a baby sister.

Shayna Sharing

Shayna thinks it's SO funny to sit on your lap and try insert her pacifier
into your mouth. If you try and avoid it, she laughs harder.

Grandma Cyndee's Birthday

We celebrated Grandma Cyndee's thirty-fifth birthday (again) last Saturday
night, and Shayna got her first taste of cheesecake, courtesy of Grandma. She
was quite taken by it, and proceded to grab the entire piece off of Grandma's
plate and tried to fit it into her mouth. Although Grandma got her gift from
us then, Shayna waited until her actual birthday on Tuesday night, and gave
her own special present...she threw up on her. Don't worry, she's fine, and
Shayna is too, just a mild bug. She's back to her walking practice - last
night she took two whole steps before plummeting to the floor. And today's
her 10-month birthday!

Rebecca replied:

Hey Bill-

About time we had another Jolee/Shayna update! I guess what they say about

first kids is true--for the first child, you have 5 million markers of every one

of their life events, but by the time the second one comes along, you are just

trying to keep up w/ a job, marriage, and the escapades of 2 bambinos!

I can't believe Shayna is already walking! Holy Shit! She is quite the active

one, isn't she? I can hardly wait to meet her and see Jolee again.
